The Nail Technology program at Parisian Spa Institute trains students in the skills needed to meet the competencies and prepare for employment as a nail technician, salon manager, or owner. The curriculum covers 180 hours of training in the field of manicuring and pedicuring. The program is available with full on-campus delivery or hybrid format. The hybrid option requires completion of 80 hours of online work and 100 hours on campus. Experienced faculty will deliver the program’s content using lectures, hands-on and visual aids. Hybrid students must demonstrate measurable participation in the program. The Full Specialist Program at Shear Finesse Beauty Academy includes a module in nail that prepares graduates to become nail specialists and skin care specialists. The Manicuring Program (MANP) at KCK Beauty and Barber Academy trains students in nail structure, manicuring techniques, and artificial nail application and nail tips. Faculty will cover state laws and foundational skills needed to become a Certified Nail Technology Specialist. Students enrolled in the Nail Technology Program at American Academy of Cosmetology will acquire technical skills and knowledge to apply for state licensure and practice as a nail specialist. They will learn advanced techniques for basic nail care as well as artificial nail products, critical business planning skills and communication skills, and the use of specialized equipment used in the industry.
