The massage therapy industry has grown by leaps and bounds. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs are expected to grow 26% over the next decade. Stress affects 8 out of every 10 persons. Many of those who are afflicted with stress and stress-related illnesses turn to massage therapy to manage stress and improve health. Massage therapy also appeals to persons who approach their health from a holistic viewpoint. Routine massages help to maintain the mind and body balance essential for physical and mental well-being.

Massage therapists are more readily accessible than before. In time past, they were exclusive to high-end spas, you can now have a massage therapist come to your home, or job as some employers maintain an in-house massage therapist for their employees.
