Ogle School

The esthetics program at Ogle School covers training in skin care and makeup. Instructors will deliver content using lectures in the classroom, demonstration, and student participation. The student will develop skills through practice of skin care theory on mannequins and through activities in the clinic. Visual aids, student exercises, and presentations will supplement classroom lectures. Course topics include orientation and TDLR rules and regulations, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, facial treatment, color psychology, client care, aromatherapy, makeup, business management, sanitation and first aid, and electricity, machines and related equipment. A portion of the content will be delivered via distance education for the Esthetics Hybrid Program only. Students must attend and participate in all classes. The full-time class meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The part-time class meets Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Aveda Arts

Aveda Arts Esthiology program prepares students for a future as a skin care specialist. Students will have the opportunity to use Aveda’s trademark pure flower and plant essences and wellness rituals. Instructors will use theory and practice plus clinical activities to help students develop essential skin care skills. Students will be able to provide a complete AVEDA Spa Experience using AVEDA products for skin care, makeup, wax techniques, and other treatments. Routine quizzes and final exams will assess students’ understanding of the content. Course topics include body care, business management, makeup artistry, business development, facial, skin care, wellness, and retail knowledge. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am 8:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The Salon Professional Academy

TSPA prepares esthetician students for success in the real world. Theory, practice, and clinical activities cover modern techniques with professional equipment, artistry of makeup application, business and marketing skills, and much more. Palo Alto College

Palo Alto’s Cosmetology Esthetics program provides students with knowledge related to skin services that will enable to work in the industry. Students will learn skincare terminology, skin care treatments, skin care procedures, and advanced skin care services as well as temporary hair removal procedures, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, microcurrent, eyebrow tint, safety and sanitation according to the state licensing agency, and workplace skin care competencies.  Course modules in the 27-credit program include Orientation to Facial Specialist, Principles of Facial and Skin Care Technology I, Principles of Skin Care/Facials and Related Theory, Principles of Facial and Skin Care Technology II, Applications of Facials and Skin Care Technology I, Principles of Facials and Skin Care Technology III, and Applications of Facial and Skin Care Technology II.

Bella Beauty College

The esthetician course at Bella Beauty College is delivered in three phases and prepares students for an exciting career in the beauty industry. The first phase of the program covers the basics such as mastering terminology, salon/spa services, safety and sanitation, earning confidence, nutrition, and personal/professional appearance. Phase two of the program gives students the opportunity to practice, present and perfect their skills. The Esthetician Program at Quest College provides the hands-on training, practical experience and industry support needed to begin a rewarding career as an Esthetician. University of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences

The Esthetician program at the University of Cosmetology Arts & Science prepares students for licensure as an Esthetician in the State of Texas. The instruction includes knowledge of esthetics and study of beauty culture with an emphasis on the health care and attractiveness of the skin and artistic use of cosmetics. Students will learn the students and function of the skin, bones, nutrition, sanitation, removal of superfluous hair, disinfection, electricity, sales of retail products, product knowledge and chemistry, and professional ethics. Upon completion of the graduation requirements and financial obligations, students will receive a diploma. Day and evening schedules are available. Full-time students cover 30 clock hours a week. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Part-time students complete 20 clock hours per week.
