The esthetics program at Baldwin Beauty School is a total body treatment course that covers the full spectrum of beauty esthetics. Students will learn through classroom demonstration and hands-on client practice in the full-service student salon that is open to the public. They will benefit from the use of top brand beauty products, a supply kit that includes high-grade materials and tools, participation in retail skills and salon business courses, and mentorship from experienced faculty. Course topics include histology of skin, body treatments, diseases and disorders of the skin, bacteriology, sanitation and sterilization, anatomy and physiology, facial and body waxing, massage manipulation techniques, product ingredients and their use, and microbiology and infection control. Bella Beauty College

The esthetician program at Bella Beauty College prepares students for success in the beauty industry. It comprises of three phases. Phase one covers the basic such as mastering terminology, salon and spa services, client safety and sanitation, personal appearance, and nutrition. Phase two will give students the opportunity to practice presentations in the form of meeting/greeting customers, setting a spa scene, microderm certification, efficiency and time service sessions, and equipment maintenance. The final phase is designed to perfect presentations to prepare students for employment in the industry and cover state law and industry standards. The comprehensive esthetics program at William Edge Institute provides students with the skills to become a licensed esthetics with the ability to become gainfully employed. Apart from the required courses, students will acquire knowledge of the business side of the industry including training in client consultations and Retail Edge. Coursework includes orientation, rules and laws, facial treatment, cleansing, masking, therapy, anatomy and physiology, makeup, electricity, machines and related equipment, care of client, management, superfluous hair removal, aroma therapy, color psychology, sanitation, safety and First Aid, and nutrition. Classes meet Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am t0 4:00 pm. New classes start throughout the year.

Total Transformation Institute of Cosmetology

Students enrolled in the esthetics program at TTIC will gain knowledge and skills to become a licensed esthetician. The program will include demonstrations conducted by licensed professionals, hands-on experience, classroom theory, self-paced projects and practical applications of the theoretical concepts. The program is delivered in two phases. The first phase will cover the fundamentals of skin care including facial treatments, makeup application, hair removal, and electrotherapy. Students must pass the phase I practical evaluation to begin the advanced phase. Phase two will see students performing skin services on clients with the supervision of support of the instructor. The practical experiences will support the development of professional techniques and client care skills. Students must pass the practical exam to graduate from the program. Graduates must pass the Texas written and practical exam to obtain a state license to practice.

The esthetician program at Ann Webb Skin Institute meets the requirements of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The program provides a rich practical training opportunity where students will develop skills in a real-life spa comprising of a lecture classroom, student treatment rooms, waiting rooms for consultations, and more. Students will consult clients, operate the student clinic, and make products used in the treatment rooms. The curriculum is delivered in three blocks – lectures plus treatment and machine introductions, advanced treatments and esthetics training, and waxing and student clinic work. Course topics include bacteriology, skin disorders, autoimmune disorders, nutrition for the skin, ingredient analysis, safety, sanitation, brow and lash tinting, aromatherapy, facial treatments, full body waxing, paraffin treatment, steam facials, product knowledge, relaxation through massage, color theory, pathogens, eyelash growth cycle, equipment, and professional development. Graduates will be eligible to take the state written and practical exams to receive an Esthetician license. Day, evening, and weekend schedules are available.
