Baldwin Beauty Schools

The cosmetology program at Baldwin Beauty School is built on the comprehensive, and world-recognized Pivot Point International curriculum. The program will include theory and practical applications in hair care, skin services, facial makeup, and nail technician. The curriculum covers 1000 clock hours to help students master and manipulate beauty treatments and applications.  It includes 8 weeks of intensive classroom training. The hands-on training will take place in the full-service Student Salon. Students will receive a supply kit, provided by Pivot Point.

Aveda Arts

The cosmetology program at Aveda Arts prepares students for employment in a field of cosmetology. It combines interactive training in the classroom with hands-on skills development in the school’s salon. Coursework will cover hair cutting, color, texture services, nail care, makeup application, business development, retail knowledge and the concept of gaining and retaining clients. Upon completion of the basic skills developments, students will develop Precision Trends in haircutting, hairstyling, and advanced hair coloring and re-texturizing as licensed cosmetology instructors direct students as they attend to real clients. Graduates will have the confidence to provide beauty services in salons and other facilities. They will be eligible to take the state licensing exam to become a licensed cosmetologist.

Bella Beauty College

Students enrolled in the cosmetology program at Bella Beauty College covers all things HAIR. They will take their passion for beauty and transform it into a coveted skill as they prepare for certification as a licensed cosmetologist. The program’s three phases include theory and hands-on training in tools and equipment, hairstyling, haircutting, introduction to the beauty industry, hair coloring, chemical services, and advanced styling. The final phase of the program involves practice and more practice in the clinic with customers for students to develop skills and confidence and apply the principles learned in the classroom. The majority of the 1,500 clock hour program will involve practical, hands-on work on a mannequin or client in the student salon. The Cosmetology Program at the Academy of Hair Design prepares students to provide a variety of services as a licensed cosmetologist. The curriculum prepares them to become well-rounded cosmetologists versed in hair styling, hair cutting, skin care, and nail care. Instructors who are industry experts will also cover hair extensions, hair coloring, eyelash extensions, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, hair removal, facials and skincare, make-up application, manicures and pedicures, and nail art. Students may also complete additional training to receive honors certificates in many in-demand skills. This will give students the opportunity to find their niche and polish their resume. Honor certificates are available in the areas of clipper cuts, make-up application, facials and skincare, eyelash extensions, hair color, advanced nail enhancement, hair styling and design, and social media. Central Texas Beauty College

The cosmetology program at Central Texas Beauty College offers a quality educational experience for all students. Faculty will provide the support needed to excel in the classroom, hands-on training, and career as a cosmetologist. Course topics include haircutting, styling, coloring, manicuring, shampooing, chemistry, chemical texture services, salon management, hair and scalp treatment, chemical relaxing, facials, and rules and laws. The cosmetology program at William Edge Institute provides students with a comprehensive and developed program so they will develop the skills to become a licensed cosmetologist. The curriculum will cover professional courses as well as the preparation for success in the industry. Students will learn how to provide client consultations and function as leaders in cosmetology. Navarro ECHS

The Navarro Cosmetology program is a CTE interactive program that prepares high school students for a career in the field of cosmetology. They will gain the knowledge and skills to provide clients with services such as hair coloring, hair styling, hair cutting, manicures, facials, and more. Areas of study include introduction to cosmetology, hair care, nail care, skin care, professional employability skills, TDLR rules and regulations, technologies and materials, practical skills, use of tools, and equipment used in the industry. Graduates will be eligible to sit the licensure exam to obtain a Cosmetology Operator License through the TDLR.

Panola College

The Cosmetology program at Panola College prepares students for employment as licensed cosmetologists. Students will cover 1,000 hours of instruction in hair cutting, chemical reformation, manicuring, facial/skin care, hair color, and hair styling. Course topics include artistry of hair design, orientation, fundamentals of cosmetology, manicuring, introduction to the theory and chemistry of hair color, principles of skin care, chemical reformation, the principles of hair coloring and related theory, advanced hair design, preparation for state exam, and capstone course. Graduates will receive a Cosmetology Certificate and be eligible to sit for the examination given by the TDLR to become licensed as cosmetologists. Students will complete 40 hours of training a week for three semesters.

Total Transformation Institute of Cosmetology

The cosmetology program at TTIC prepares students to become a licensed professional. They will learn the fundamentals of haircutting, hair cutting, hair styling, esthetics, and manicuring to pass the state licensing exam and have advanced knowledge and technical abilities to succeed in the industry. The program is delivered in two phases. Phase 1 will involve learning and practicing different aspects of the career. Students must pass a practical exam to begin phase 2. The second phase involves work on clients under the close supervision of an instructor to build confidence and advance to the latest trends. Students will take the Texas written licensing exam after 900 hours.

Adults enroll in the cosmetology program at The Salon Professional Academy to refine their skills and creativity and secure business marketing skills to build their own businesses. The program includes classroom instruction as well as practical, hands-on skills in the student salon. Course topics include salon management, salon operation, hair cutting, hair styling, hair coloring, chemical textures, manicuring, skin care, business management, marketing, safety procedures, and preparation for the state exam. Graduates will be eligible to take the state licensing exam to become licensed cosmologists. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
