Aveda Arts

The cosmetology program at Aveda Arts prepares students for employment in a field of cosmetology. It combines interactive training in the classroom with hands-on skills development in the school’s salon. Coursework will cover hair cutting, color, texture services, nail care, makeup application, business development, retail knowledge and the concept of gaining and retaining clients. Bella Beauty College

Students enrolled in the cosmetology program at Bella Beauty College covers all things HAIR. They will take their passion for beauty and transform it into a coveted skill as they prepare for certification as a licensed cosmetologist. The program’s three phases include theory and hands-on training in tools and equipment, hairstyling, haircutting, introduction to the beauty industry, hair coloring, chemical services, and advanced styling. The Navarro Cosmetology program is a CTE interactive program that prepares high school students for a career in the field of cosmetology. The Cosmetology program at Panola College prepares students for employment as licensed cosmetologists. Students will cover 1,000 hours of instruction in hair cutting, chemical reformation, manicuring, facial/skin care, hair color, and hair styling. Course topics include artistry of hair design, orientation, fundamentals of cosmetology, manicuring, introduction to the theory and chemistry of hair color, principles of skin care, chemical reformation, the principles of hair coloring and related theory, advanced hair design, preparation for state exam, and capstone course. Graduates will receive a Cosmetology Certificate and be eligible to sit for the examination given by the TDLR to become licensed as cosmetologists. The cosmetology program at TTIC prepares students to become a licensed professional. They will learn the fundamentals of haircutting, hair cutting, hair styling, esthetics, and manicuring to pass the state licensing exam and have advanced knowledge and technical abilities to succeed in the industry. The program is delivered in two phases. Phase 1 will involve learning and practicing different aspects of the career. Students must pass a practical exam to begin phase 2. The second phase involves work on clients under the close supervision of an instructor to build confidence and advance to the latest trends.
