The AAS Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology program at Dallas College provides students with the training required to function as HVAC technicians in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Tech Zone HVAC-R
Tech Zone’s HVAC program includes classroom study and hands on sessions to train students as if they were on the job. The lab sessions will amplify the classroom sessions and give students the opportunity to apply the skills learned. There will be an emphasis on electrical and mechanical components of residential and commercial systems as well as diagnosing problems according to the heat transfer and the pressure/temperature relationship. The Basic Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC-R) Program at Premier Technical Institute provides students with the skills and competencies necessary to provide entry-level central heating and air and basic refrigeration on residential and commercial units.
